STI’s songs are symbiosis of straight lyrics with distinctive sounds. Through dark atmosphere (how it would seem to be at first glance) there’s actually life-asserting beginning is infiltrating. Like the first sunbeam forcing its way through clouds after radioactive mushroom rain. Interesting rhythms and psychedelic melodies live together in STI’s tracks. Sometimes assembled from rough cuts and sometimes skillfully played with live instruments, STI’s music goes somewhere deeper than just your ears.
At the moment STI are preparing concert program with: Fla (voice, guitar, other instruments), Tyler (electronic devices, keyboard, yo-yo) and Svyatoslav Ermakov (drums, percussion).
Fla is unchallenged leader and author of songs. In different periods of life he has taken in different music: from The Beatles and RCHP to Squarepusher and Miles Davis. Fla’s vocal is transparent and melodic. Manner of singing can be characterized as “Tom Yorke aspiring to become Bjork”.
Tyler is fan of Tool. In band he plays role of sound shaman, leads bassline, manipulates with incoming and outgoing signals and even shows acrobatic sketches with aggressive yo-yo.
Svyatoslav Ermakov (aka Slava) is a drummer, graduating the most authoritative in Russia Gnesin Academy of Music. After finishing military service he has joined the band. At spare time makes yoga. Vegetarian.
