Stinky Pete & the rabid babies

Bio:

Stinky Pete & the rabid babies was founded by the mood of four guys, to kick some ass, after the roots of 70s American Punkrock and the music of the "Ramones". What began as a fun project, turned sooner or later into a real band. In 2002 the band was created by four musicians, everybody already with performing and band-experience.

The founding formation existed of the classic "Ramones-cast":
drums - Bob The Cop
bass - Evil Kneevil
guitar - Horny Stinky Corny
and vocals - Stinky The Kid

But a band without a name couldn't exist!
The desire suggestion didnt have to wait for long. Stinky Pete is a character in the animation-movie "Toy Story". A farting cowboy, whose name just sounds good.
But a real rock'n'roll-band still needs something in addition. The continuation "and the rabid babies" is based on the first rock'n'roll bands in the 50s. All this together gives a good picture of the band: fun with playing rock'n'roll music and presenting it on stage.

During the first gigs it became dear, that the music would only be fully ripen with a second guitar. That's why in may 2003 a befriended leadguitar-man, with jutting out techniques and with a preference for classic rock'n'roll, blues, jazz, rhythm'n blues etc., became the 5th bandmember:
Birk'n Stick

With him the manifestation of the band's musical style began. Stinky Pete & the rabid babies had finally found itself.
The new songs from this point on were mainly own compositions.
They served themselves by a lot of styles, but Rock and a bit of Punkrock still were the main purpose.
In addition, mainly on stage and lyrics, country and western appeared and characterized the typical Stinky Pete way of performance: straw, cowboy-hats, trenchcoats, farmer and horse stuff.

From now on the band consequently marked itself as the first "Farm'n'Roll Band" of the universe. Even the bluesharp found its way in some songs.

The peculiarity of the music of Stinky Pete & the rabid babies lies therefore in the straight ahead, nearly simple way, but never becomes boring, because its highly variation by so many different influences.

The powerful stage show is another characteristic. It is found somewhere between AC/DC, the Blues Brothers and the Ramones and definitely animates nearly everyone to dance and rock!

On the 13-track-cd "Heeehaw!", which was produced in the first half of 2004, Stinky Pete & the rabid babies are presenting their farm'n'roll-cocktail to the world.
Beneath their own songs, it also includes the new interpretation of the old rednex-song "riding alone", which became something like a hymn for the fans.

To take everything into a short summary, the band's priority is fun, rock'n'roll and of course their mission:

"Let's give some rock'n'roll back to this world..."
