stitch-stitch is a bristol-based DIY record label, run at various times by aaron, steve, frànçois and nicole. our first release (stitch001) was the lonely ponies ten inch in 2003. since then we have released records by frànçois, i know i have no collar, ray rumours, ladybird, roxanne:theearlyyears and arctic circle; either on vinyl or CD-R. over the next year we should hopefully be releasing new CDs or records from i know i have no collar, ray rumours, the mountain parade, the middle ones and ladybird!
We are releasing the new album from Ray Rumours - Le Pont Suspendu - on Monday 23rd March. It costs £10. You can preorder it at the stitch-stitch website by clicking on the album cover! There will be a launch show at the Scout Hut in Bristol on March 22nd, and at The Bread and Roses (Clapham) in London on April 17th. You'll be able to buy the album at a discounted price at these shows.

what the deal is with you sending us your music: we are not (and never have been) a label that looks for new music to release. our friends provide us with more than enough of that, and we are kept busy enough trying to keep up with it!.
if you send your music to us, it is very unlikely we'll listen to it. we're very busy and don't have the time. if your music is good, then you should release it yourself! that's what we do. the other way to get your stuff released is to play a lot of shows. if you are a good band and you tour a lot, then chances are someone will want to put your stuff out on their label. just keep being a brilliant band! don't worry about promotion and networking and all that crap. be good at what you do. it's simple.
