STIVER BIO
Stiver was the brainchild of Bob Pidgeon back in 1996. Bob and then drummer Mark Ratthoff was in the process of recording a demo were in need of a bass player found Glen Marsh in the studio. Stiver then was a power trio.
Between 1998 and 2000 playing shows as a trio Stiver was still missing a lead guitarist. Joe Bogner was inlisted in 2001 as Stiver's lead guitarist. Having played with Glen in Destination Unknown he clicked well.
And in the new year of 2002 replacing Mark on drums former Destination Unknown drummer Steve Kelly to complete the line-up. With the final ingredients in 2002 Stiver was ready to take the local music scene by storm.
Bob's wild frontman antics and guitars, Glen's thunderous bass-lines, Joe's ripping guitar leads, Steve's (Keith Moonish) drum playing and adding Larry Bozarth with his over the top light show Stiver quickly became a crowd favorite in the local clubs.
In 2003 Stiver completed there debut album "Blind and Invisible" and was ready to expand its fan-base beyond the local music scene by hitting Philly's original music scene like the Pontiac Grill, benefits and local TV shows like Bill O'brian Inside Music Today.
In October of 2004 Stiver took a break and members pursued other interests but still keeping in touch. In 2007 Stiver regrouped and is writing a new album and booking new shows and is looking forward to rocking the local scene all over again.
