You name it we listen to it -- even a little of the country (but not much of that and pretty much the old school, Waylon, Willie, Jerry Jeff Walker, Johnny Cash). We'll put our sound system up against any other business in the Black Hills, our music library is extensive, our play list hand-picked. AND we have vinyl (we're pretty sure that we are the ONLY salon in the Black Hills that has a turntable - it just sounds better!!!)

About me: The Factory Salon is the premier salon in the Black Hills region. What makes us stand out as so much better than the rest? Well, for starters we hire only the most talented stylists who have a passion for the business, which means not only doing great hair, but taking care of our customers in the manner we want our customers taken care of. Factory stylists also work harder than any others I know of to be great. We train a minimum of once a week - our Wednesday night gatherings. In addition to that, our salon has a training room, a classroom complete with a television and DVD system so that our stylists can watch each and every new training tool we receive from the hair companies, and they do. Factory stylists also train at every available education class possible - some as far away as Florida, New York City and California - so that we can offer our customers the very latest and very best the industry has to offer.
The Factory also has three levels of stylists. Most stylists are hired in our Apprentice/Assistant program where they are supervised and given advanced training under a Master Stylist-Colorist. From there they can graduate to a Full Stylist position, and eventually onto Master Stylist.
Everything we do is guaranteed 100%. We realize that sometimes there is a period in the beginning where our Stylists are figuring out exactly what our customers want, and so anytime there is a challenge, we take care of it.
All of this, plus the greatest facility anywhere. If you’ve not been into The Factory, please stop down, check it out, and feel the vibes – it’s like nothing else around!!!!!

The band Psychostick, a comedic metal group that pens anthems celebrating beer and general mayhem, will perform at 8 p.m. Nov. 6 at Cam-plex’s Central Pavilion.
