SAVE THE DATE FOR AMERICA RECYCLES DAY 2009!

The purpose of this event is to give St. Louis City residents, community leaders, and City employees an opportunity to network with businesses and organizations that offer reduce, reuse, and recycling services and who sell recycled products. The 4th Annual America Recycles Day Expo will be held on November 13, 2009 at the City Hall Rotudna from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Admission is free.

NEW THIS YEAR - A Book Swap! Bring a book to give, take a book to read. If you'd like to donate prior to the day of this Expo, please drop off books at the City of St. Louis Refuse Division, 4100 South First Street (2nd Floor) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

How did the showing of the 'Story of Stuff' go? I ended up working until 11:45 p.m. at Cardinal Glennon so was unable to make it. :( I hope a lot of people showed up! It really is an awesome video.

The Story of Stuff is a great video about the life cycle of products and lifestyle of consumers. I wish everyone would watch this very informative video. Thanks for showing it! I will be attending with my son. FYI...it is available on YouTube as well for those who can't make it to the meeting.
