Casual, stylish, inspirational – all describe the innovative clothing line of Stoke International.. Nearly two years after experiencing the adrenaline high of kiteboarding, entrepreneur Nick Madrick was compelled to share the energy and excitement of the sport and believed fashion was the best way to express his passion for life.
Stoke is an acronym for “Seeking To Open Klosed Eyes,” which is the company’s mission, as well as Nick’s life ambition to create designs that open peoples’ eyes to the wonderment of life and the need to live each day to the fullest.
“We all have obligations in life, but being happy is necessary before we can perform to our utmost ability,” explains Madrick. “Stoke Clothing is unique because our surfwear challenges its’ wearers to live fully every minute of every day.”
With designers Chad Coe and Paul Dillon, Madrick adds quotes, poems or short expressions to the apparel to inspire thoughts and actions. On the men’s angel t-shirt, men are reminded that the power and potential to succeed is “all within.” On the rose t-shirt a poem reads “Perfect in my imperfection, delicate in my strength… mysterious in my layers, unique in my love, I am a rose.”
