The European Irish folk group Stokes consisting of musicians from three European countries, they are the most successful Irish folk group performing in the German speaking nations of central Europe. Who have been voted two years in succession by Tourism Ireland as the best traditional Irish folk group in Germany.
Stokes have been performing on stage for five years, with over six hundred concerts and gigs to be accounted for, a hard working group, who only want to present a professional show on stage for their audiences to enjoy.
To celebrate their five year stage jubilee Stokes are planning concert tours in Germany and other European countries in 2007-2008 with a new programme consisting of fast moving and slow tunes, songs of hunger, distress, emigration, drinking and love songs, with a bit of Irish humor thrown in, all about the Green Isle, thus wrapping this into an evening of unforgettable memories and entertainment.

Pat Cooksey Irish singer song writer (eg. The Sick Note or also known as Paddys Not At Work Today), Noel McLoughlin just to name a few.
A journalist once wrote in his newspaper report, Stokes connect ties during a concert, meaning not just nations but also audiences of different ages from 8 – 88 may be found at concerts.It is not only on stage that they harmonise with an audience, but also off the stage after a performance showing their professionalism and thankfulness towards them, maybe the one drink or another accompanied with a song is not unusual.
