After discovering the joy of creating music at the tender age of 16, Stomp224 went to college to study music, but that sucked so he dropped out and got a Real Job. But that sucked even more so he moved away and went to a better college where Tutors didnt mumble like terrified children and actually knew how to explain compression properly.
Now that Stompy was actually learning things, he started doing this new-fangled home recording business with the most expensive equipment he could afford (A line-in from his crappy amp... and a cheap copy of Cubase). Thus begun his lo-fi quest for world domination!
When Stomp224 started University, he actually spent money on better equipment, and now records in Logic Pro 7 with a LINE 6 POD xt and Battery 3. It still sounds naff, but its higher quality naff, like watching Friends on a HDTV.
After Stomp224 finishes his degree, he wants to compose music for video games and general Audio/Visual work. He would also like to stop writing in 3rd person.....
Hey dude hows it goin, u up 4 meetin up next wk sometime and ill bring the book with me so u can photocopy in rutland or something?. I can pick up a couple of the eps from ya too
mornin. sorry for the ass whoopin on mario kart last night. did you like the bit where i pushed you off the bridge! although during one of the races i did plant some bananas on the finish line which jess drove into and you took second, so there is some kindness inside.....same again tonight!
Hey! Thanks for the support. Is your dissertation on audio in general or mostly the music? Either way, I'd love to read it once it's done!
Nice tunes by the way. How are you finding Logic Pro 7? I'm currently composing with Logic Platinum 5.5, one of the last for PC before Apple bought out emagic! I love it, but it has its issues in modern times, being an old version and all. I'm switching to Sonar 7 for now, the latest for PC, but I think in the future I'll get my hands on a Mac and get back to Logic. Let me know how you're liking it!
Keep it up and good luck in the music world, -Nick [8-bit Philharmonic]
