After a 1 year hiatus, the Stomp All-Stars are back! When? Where? It'll soon be posted so stay tuned! .. .. This year's version features members of the Planet Smashers, One Night Band, x-Kingpins, The Beatdown Subb and includes guest appearances by Vernon Buckley of the legendary Maytones and many more. .. .. The All-Stars first came together in the winter 1999 with a series of January shows at the Swimming. With a constantly rotating line-up, the Stomp All-Stars continued the series for the following 3 consecutive winters, and developed into a Montreal underground winter tradition. Matt Collyer, the original brain child of the All-Stars said "we decided to pack it in for a bit cause bands like the Kingpins, Gangster Politics,and Undercovers broke up in 2003, so the All-Stars would've been 5 guys from the Smashers and a few guests, which is kinda lame". .. .. But due to the onslaught of new killer ska bands like One Night Band/The Beatdown and the reappearance of Subb and Vernon Maytone, Stomp Records decided to bring the All-Stars back. This year's band leaders Dave Smasher and Alex One Nighter claim that the new version is the best ever! The band guarantees to deliver intense nights of old-school ska and reggae, so put on your dancing shoes and get ready for the ska! .. .. Stompie. .. ..
