Cairns City Place is going to host Cairns’ biggest dance battle – Stomp the Nard! So get your friends together and come and see the best B-boyz and Girlz, Krumpperz, Clownerz, and hip hop dancers from the north.

Stomp The Nard as an event has gathered momentum since its inception in 2007, it started out as a back alley street dance battle with about 40 people attending.

It has now evolved into an open-air, widely publicized event with in excess of 3500 people attending.

The event incorporates a wide range of dance styles and urban music.

The idea of bringing event out into the open was to educate the public about the hip hop culture, and to mainly give a voice and expression for young talented and gifted people in our community.
