Welcome to Stonedgods2012! back in Y2K (year 2 thousand) we were simply called Stonedgods.com.
After a few years, for different reasons we let it die... and the name was stolen.
Now, 7 years after, in the year of the return of Quetzalcoatl, Stonedgods is back... ladies and gents...
Now we want to give you informations about new sounds, new visions, new... news, plus those weird information about 2012, whatever it is, whatever it means. because we all know it is happening, right?
Back when we were doing stonedgods.com we were very much oriented towards hard-heavy-psychedelic rock, aka stonerrock. Years have gone by, we are still the same but also very different, so you will read about all kind of good music on our website, not only about rock... although, since we ARE still rockers, chances are you will read more about rock than about... well... reggae. Or.. classical music. Or... japanese music.
We like electronic sounds now, so be warned!
What follows is a short bio
"Stonedgods came up in 1998/99. It was created
created by Alex, a psychedelic traveller born in Milan - Italy, and was meant to be a great
resource of stoner rock, indie, noise, doom, metal and undergorund
music in general, full of interviews, photos, reviews, articles,
stories ans so on...
At that time Alex was playing with his friend Fra. They were creating heavy music and experimenting alternative patterns. Alex in the meantime was writing the zine with the help of Bokal, bassist for the band THUMB (we miss them). After some time, also Fra joined Stonedgods with enthusiasm.
After a couple of years of hard work, StonedGods.com
became a very important and seminal web zine about rock and the underground world. Along the years the crew grew with the entrance of other precious and selected collaborators like Satan Claus, Cobra and Mr.Oddone.
They've made
incredible interviews with artist such as MELVINS, LOS NATAS, MASTODON, HIGH ON FIRE, MARK LANEGAN, IPECAC RECORDS, GORILLA, GLUECIFER, HELLACOPTERS, DOZER, FIREHOUSE KUSTOM ROCKART,
ALABAMA THUNDER PUSSY, SUPERSUCKERS, NASHVILLE PUSSY, NEBULA,ZEKE, UFOMAMMUT, ACAJOU, FATSO JETSON, 13EAVER, CHRIS GOSS and an infinite number of underground bands,
labels and artists from all over the world.
Today they're back to review all the good records
out there and to share their ideas and thoughts about psychedelia, art,
conspiracies, instruments, devices, smart drugs and last but not least real expressions coming from the core."
The Stonedgods crew is formed by five fucked up guys!
