STONEFALL IS SPONSORED BY
Driven to create something beyond the stagnant, cookie-cutter 'metal' that was being fed to the public through the radio and television, the members of several local bands came together in early 2006 and began work on a fresh set of material. Each member brought their own vision, influences, and style to the table; along with years of accumulated ideas that they had never found a way to fit into previous, more restrictive projects. Stonefall started by tossing out all preconceived notions of what the band 'should' sound like and just let the music go wherever it would take them. The end result was a truly unique sound—intense, dynamic, heavy at times, gentle at others, vocally and musically complex, and where each member has a chance to showcase their talents, but never take away from the sound of the band as a whole. Stonefall's live show is a torrent of pure energy and an extension of the philosophy that brought the band together in the first place: no gimmicks, no contrived pouting or angst, no make-up, nothing ridiculous for the sake of shock value; in short, no bullshit. We are who we are and our music speaks for itself in a genuine way that doesn't need to be packaged with theatrics.

Catalyst vs. Dying of Life in the second round of the battle of the bands. We are competing for a $1,000 cash prize. That would help us pay for the studio time we need to finish our first full length CD. Please help us out and be there by nine thirty. We go on at ten sharp and are judged on our first five songs. Crowd participation is a must. Show up early, have a few drinks and loosten up. Then get up front and sing along to every song as we rock the Village Inn from dusk till dawn.
Can't wait to see you guys Friday. I'll make sure this time I don't make an ass of myself. As long as Jamie doesn't make me take the texas twister. Can't wait:)
