Stone Laboratories How do I build a machine that undoes heartbreak, removes skeletons from your closet, rebuilds fucked up tomorrows and fills you with hope? Posted at 4:22 AM Nov 25 view more
Stone Laboratories is an artistic side project by Goth Rock musician, Ian Stone (À Rebours). Embracing an unlikely pastiche of Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Outsider art and the dark, timeworn richness of Primitve Folk Art, the result is a strange, retro-futurist vision rooted in the combined aesthetics of sci-fi, classic horror, and ragdoll rusticity. Imagine the Victorian sci-fi of H.G. Wells and Jules Verne, wrapped in the velvet webs of E.A. Poe, combined with the creeping rural horrors of H.P. Lovecraft and Algernon Blackwood, and then made into a movie by Fritz Lang and Tim Burton. A bit of an exaggeration, perhaps, but you get the idea. Stone Laboratories uses this eclectic mix to create both 2D art and 3D accoutrements out of a tangled process of found object assemblage, paint, collage techniques, digital manipulation, kitbashing and creative insanity ingenuity.
Stone Laboratories purveys most pieces through eBay, local shoppes in the upstate NY area, and via Commissioned jobs. Selected direct sales appear from time to time as well.

Thank you so much for the add! I adore your gun modifications! I am working on a few myself at the moment;) I am the leader of the Foam Defense Core(FDC)...a Special operations group within Dr.Steel's Army of Toy soldiers! We specialize in Nerf gun/foam sword warfare and modifications. We could always use a man like you if you are interested!
Excellent I shall send them out as soon as I can. Recording quality is crap, but it's all good. I was thinking we could power the laser with some sort of particle collider, now we just have to steal the Large Hadron Collider and we'll be good.
Well I finally stopped procrastinating my second album and all the demos are recorded. Hopefully I'll buy myself some studio time. I'll e-mail you a copy when all is finished. I need your e-mail address again I'll throw you some demos. How are things on your end? Better be working on our moon laser!
