Doc (Geoff) Myers (Vocals, Guitar) is a dime store philosopher, environmentalist, rock climber, and of course, musician. :-) I enjoy debating philosophy and worldviews, and therefore adore intelligent and opinionated people. I also love to party (when Im not playing at them) and have been known to get a little crazy, but always in a happy way. The time I dont spend extroverted outward I spend writing music in the mindscape. Maybe you can dig it........
Fredrick (CONGO PHREDD) Lovette (Percussion) is a long time veteran of the Little Rock music scene, playing in various rock, blues and alternative music bands. For the last ten years he has worked with The Big Johnsons, a local cover band of good reputation and the 2004 runner-up pick for the Best Band by The Arkansas Times. Phredd now turns his energy to SMC, an original music project with its roots in 1970s Classic Rock, one of Congos favorite forms of musical expression.
Tophat (Shane) (Bass) embraced by the soul-lifting possibilities of the musical sounds cape at an early age, the Monkey has performed in several bands, as far away as Guadalajara, Mexico, giving him wide-ranging musical experience and eclectic musical tastes. Spreading aural sunshine with guitar during his early career, Shane has recently taken up Bass and has actively been known to stay on the beat! Thankfully captured by the brotherhood of happy sound known as the Stone Mountain Crew, this monkey has found a home. (Note: Petting the Monkey is not strictly prohibited)
Influences
Too many to list. Anyone with genuine emotion transmitted through music. That and the music the forest creates on a humid night right after it rains...
Original music is the name of the game. Tired of the repetitive nature of what what was on the radio, we set out to send a positive message without conforming to the mold that forges many (but not all) modern bands. This makes genre hard to pin, so we call it "feel good" music... Intended to provoke thought and emotion in all its listeners. So give it a try, and tell us what you think.

.. Hi there Stone Mountain Crew first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.
Many people wanted to use us in the future so if you were one of those people make sure you bookmark the link below so that in the event that we do close our myspace account you won't lose contact with us. I wish you the best of luck in your music career. Thanks again for being our myspace pal.
