Few artists make an impact as complete as the one Matisyahu has made. Here was a true original, a Hasidic Jewish musician from New York City singing reggae songs about his religious devotion. True originals, though, don’t stay put for long, and on his bold new album, Light, 29-year-old Matisyahu proves that there’s much more to his artistry than might initially meet the eye. Don't miss your chance to see him live at one of the best venue's in the country Thursday night at the Slowdown. Get your tickets early this event will sell out!!

Hello fellow fans and freaks,
We had so much fun last year when Buckethead graced us with his appearance that we decided to do it once again. He had so much fun with all of you that he accepted the request and will be returning to the "Good Life" Sun. Sept. 13th to play the Slowdown in Omaha, NE. This time around he will be bringing Wolff (formally of Drums and Tuba) as support to add even more explosiveness to the evening. Buckethead will be bringing a much bigger and badder show so prepare to strap on your seatbelts for what will surely be a wild ride. We hope you had a good time last year and will be ready to join us again for more good times and mind-blowing guitar shredding by the one and only Buckethead! Looking forward to seeing you all again raging with the Man, the Myth, the Legend... Mr. Buckethead!
Tickets for this all ages event are available now @ www.radkadillac.com, www.etix.com, locally at all Etix locations (Homer's Music Stores in Omaha and Lincoln), and at the Slowdown's Box Office during their normal hours of operation. Please visit www.theslowdown.com for more information.

We can still all do this.....and if you want to be part of the solution...
...then do consider adding my new song, "Think Peace" to your profile. It's easy to do, just go to my profile and right under the song title on the player is a place to choose "ADD".
The more that this song gets heard, the more that people will stop for a moment, interrupt their routine, and think about peace. If people do this, even just for a moment, there is an effect! So, YOU can be part of the solution....
And if you do add the song to your profile, PLEASE be sure to let me know so I can drop you a note and thank you personally!
;)
Think Peace!
Sing Peace!
BE peace!
Much Love,
Andrew

Great American Taxi's sound has been compared to a variety of roots oriented bands including New Riders of the Purple Sage, a "Grateful Dead for the new millennium," Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, The Byrds and more. People will hear threads of the Leftover Salmon fabric propelled by an inspired Herman being supported by a cast of talented minstrels ready to follow Herman to the land of 'Festival!" Herman's in-your- face, in-the-moment improvisation helps bring the party to Taxi's well-crafted songs. People from all backgrounds will be able to latch onto something in the band's sound. Great American Taxi is truly a melting pot of musical tastes and styles all rolled into their "Americana without borders." The band has appeared at several premier music festivals including High Sierra Music Fest, Wakarusa, Summer Camp, 10,000 Lakes Festival, Dunegrass, and Nightgrass slots at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
