At the end of 2004 Narcosis was born, a small party org with a simple mission: bringing back the sound that was once called acid and combine it with a firm dose of musical violence. The area of activities is Ghent (Belgium) but the sky is the limit. Over the following years they put their own mark on the partyscene by trying to be a little different. Variety and diversity are of high importance and line-ups differ from acid to tekno to hardcore. Since its the music and the attending partycrowd that counts, there is not much info on this sinister yet friendly party org.
At he beginning of 2007 the next step was taken: "Stoornis".
Stoornis is a 4 men live project that comes from the whomb of Narcosis.
These 4 individuals have different musical background that vary from metalcore/hardcore over to electronics styles such as techno, hardcore, gabber, dnb. And still today they are constantly travelling the different roads in the musical landscape. A neverending search...
They are equipped with some nasty pieces of analog madness and digital weapons that can wreck your ears. The sound can be described as mixture of hard acid with a touch of tekno and hardcore. They strongly believe in the strength of the TB303 accompagnied by a blasting kickdrum, twisting percussion and whatever they find useful for a liveset.
With the birth of Stoornis, there was also the upcoming dream of owning a proper soundsystem, they found one and it served them well. However, the constant need for improvement of the system was big, very big... A new search became reality and soon the search was ended, they found something that could match the high needs and now a 10kw soundsystem is reality.
Often they are asked what everyone's task is within the group... the thing is that they can't narrow down the tasks, no one only does one task. It depends on the mood, the kind of party and the place available (as you can figure out it takes quite some m² to put down 4 men and their hardware). But basicly everybody has 2 main tasks that can vary from set to set, which results in different sets over and over but 1 thing remains: hard and fun!
