Since I'm short of cash at the moment, I'm throwing the gates open and offering all two of you who are interested a chance to commission me to make art to your tastes. If you like what you see in my gallery, If there's something you'd like to see me draw, this is your chance to get me to draw something for you, and all you need to do to make it work is fork over some money.
BASE RATE: $40 What that gets you: A single figure on a simple background, in color. Default coloring will be an airbrush-like style, though upon request a flatter, "cel-style" method of coloring can be used. Standard canvas sizes are a height/width ratio of about 3:2 (comic-book page) or 3:4 (standard monitor wallpaper ratio). Other dimensions can be requested, but may affect the price. Artwork will be delivered in digital form - since I work entirely on the computer, there is no unique physical artwork to own. High-resolution art files can be provided for personal printing use (but see the notes on reproduction rights elsewhere). Additional factors will affect the final price of a requested piece, such as additional figures, detailed or complicated elements and backgrounds, mature content, and whether or not I am actually interested in the subject matter. (These are not the only things that will raise the price, but they are common factors.) For each factor you request beyond what is provided by the base rate, you should expect the final price of the project to be raised.	IMPORTANT NOTICES AND DISCLAIMERS: On style: I draw in my own particular style, which can be seen in my works. Commissioning me implies that you like my style well enough to pay for it. Asking me to draw existing characters, such as superheroes or anime characters, will result in that character drawn in my own individual style, not that of the original creator. Do not expect something commissioned from me to closely resemble someone else's style. On reproduction rights: All works created by me, including commissions, remain copyrighted by me unless otherwise notified. The Base Price allows you to use the picture for personal use only. The Base Price does NOT confer reproduction rights. You cannot request a commission from me and then print the art in a book or magazine, or use it in some sort of non-personal fashion on a website. The right to use the art professionally can be purchased, and the price can be negotiated, though it should be understood that such rights will not be inexpensive. Reproduction rights are not exclusive copyrights, and I reserve the right to use any commissioned piece for my own purposes. (Exclusive copyrights can also be negotiated, and they are even more expensive.) Commissions of copyrighted characters: I am willing to draw other people's creations under certain circumstances. In the case of characters owned by the commissioning party, it should be understood that the above conditions still apply - the Base Price grants personal use, but no more. (You may own the character, but you still cannot use my original artwork without the appropriate permission and fees paid.) In the case of characters owned by third parties, such commissions are limited to personal use only. The commissioning party bears any and all responsibility for requesting potential copyright violations. I will not use commissions of other people's characters for anything other than display in my galleries (unless otherwise requested or allowed by the copyright holders).
HOW IT WORKS: Once you have decided what you want me to draw, you should contact me with a description of the desired commission, and how much you are willing to pay for it. If I feel the price offered is worth the described commission, I will agree to draw it - if not, I may offer a different price as a counter-offer. Once you and I have agreed on a price, I will request a deposit of half of the final price up-front before I begin the piece. Upon completion of the piece, a thumbnail of the final image will be provided, at which time the second half of the fee is due. Once the second half of the price is paid, access will be given to the full-size and print-ready files. You may request views of breakdowns and sketches before I begin work on inking and coloring. Once inking and coloring has begun, the deposit is non-refundable. To start the process, send a request to stop.him@gmail.com. Payment can be received via PayPal at the same address. I can also be contacted via my deviantArt or MySpace pages, if need be. Money orders and cash can also be sent by snail mail, though that adds time to the process. Contact me for any further details or questions.		PAPER PRINTS: I currently do not directly provide prints. You are not paying me for a physical print, you are paying me for my time, labor, imagination and talent. However, those who commission works from me can get print-quality files from which prints can be made. My recent works are being made available on deviantArt as prints and other items. Any commissions that do not involve characters belonging to others will probably also be placed in my gallery and set up as available prints. If someone requests a commission featuring characters they own, that can be offered as a print with the owner's consent. The owner may need to provide proof of consent to deviantArt. While I am not actively putting my older work up on my deviantArt account, if you see a picture in my main gallery that you would like to purchase as a print, you can contact me, and if the files are available, I will place it in my account as an available print. If you simply must purchase a print directly from me, something can be arranged, but there would be extra costs involved.
