Southern rock, country, and honkytonk are absolutely fantastic. Rock & Roll is okay to an extent, especially classic rock. I'll basically listen to anything that ain't rap or hip-hop. The people who listen to that trash in their cars need to learn that there's a fine line between CAR STEREO and PUBLIC NUISANCE.
Movies
Dude Where's My Car, Happy Gilmore, and Forrest Gump rank among my faves. I'll pretty much watch anything funny. If it ain't funny, it's a waste of my money. Fake drama defeats the purpose of entertainment in my opinion.
Television
I'm addicted to game shows, and I like Christian television from time to time.
Books
The Bible, and anything else that magnifies God. And of course, the Encyclopedia of TV Game Shows.
Heroes
My wife has saved me from loneliness, and I can't help but look up to the immortal work of Bill Cullen, but my one and only true hero is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He came to this filthy world, lived a sinless life, died painfully on that cross, paid my eternal debts, conquered death, and saved me from my sins. THAT, my friends, is a true hero.
About me: First update in a while... lots to report. I've had grandparents from both sides of my family go to glory recently (I don't use the term "die" for people who I know are right with the Lord; they don't die, they go home to glory!). One of them left behind for me what is among the greatest blessings I've ever received: my own business. I am now the proud owner of Third Generation Bibles, formerly Columbus Christian Bookstore. It's in the same place it's been since 1977, so if you've got time one day, come check it out! I'm still sorta in the process of re-stocking the store, so it ain't spectacular, yet. It will be someday though, this I promise you.
Before I met you, I loved you ~ completely! Through the years, you've always been a little boy and a grown-up son that I am so proud of. Thank you for being you. You are truly an honorable man. I am still so proud. mom
