Make them understand that her memories don't ever go away. Bless them with ears to hear, and hearts that care. Enable them to listen to us while we share. Shelter them that they may never know our pain. We're heartbroken and we'll never be the same. Birthdays are for celebrating, not a time for tears. In loving memory of my mother Margarita ReganEstrella Casillo. She is forever "45" and forever my angelmommy. I miss her soo much. I always say LIVE LIFE LOUD! that is my motto. Living Life Loud means to LIVE LIFE FREE! And the only way I accomplish that is when I let go. I never hold a grudge, I could never bind my heart and soul to such pain or anything that hinders my peace of mind and chains my free spirit. I will not allow someone/something to dictate how I live my life, how I spend my days in the realms of emotion. I do not hand that power over to anyone. I am in control of me, including when there are things that occur, which are not of my own doing, I STILL CONTROL THAT SITUATION and it lies in how I allow myself to respond to it and affect me. Inner peace can be reached only when we practice forgiveness. Forgiveness is letting go of the past, and is therefore the means for correcting our misperceptions. Why cling to pain? There is nothing that can be done about the wrongs of yesterday. It is not ours to judge and ALL WE DO is hold on to the very thing which keeps us from hope and love. Hanging onto resentment is letting someone/something you despise live rent-free in your head.... well, F*CK THAT! It's interesting a even painful when in the past, out of selflessness you let go of someone/something for them, to allow them to find their own path. BUT today (many years later), I CHOOSE TO LET GO FOR ME, BECAUSE I NEVER GO BACK TO WHAT I'VE LEFT BEHIND! I have shared this before, but saw it fit to include it in my note... IT takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for IN MOVEMENT THERE IS LIFE, AND IN CHANGE THERE IS POWER. So whatever it is, or whoever you are, I will not be home when you come for me. ty J'Net you are an awesome sis! And these are words to live by! It actually started as a memorial site and then became all about saving victims of Domestic Violence. During the duration of this site, I have read many many sad stories. I have shared much pain with many women I will only know online. I have no regrets of starting this site regardless of the stalkers and haters. This site is to help women of Domestic Violence. I have even learned a few things to help myself. I have learned that I have unbelievable strength. I have overcome more than one could ever imagine. And yet, everyday, I get up. I am blessed with a new day to live my life. A new day in which to enjoy the air I breathe, the memories I make and have made. I get a chance to change something in the world. It could be save an animal or someone's life. I have saved many women with the creation of this site. It wasn't my intention at first. But, as many women have shared their stories, and cried to me, I realized that this was my calling. I spent most of my life wondering what my important purpose is. I am here to help women stand up, be strong and face all challenges that come their way. I have overcome every obstacle their has been in my life! Yes, I lost my girls to a horrible system. But, I get up each day and pray for them. I pray each day for their peace and happiness. I pray each day that they too will one day get to know me and their real family. For we are GOOD PEOPLE! We were young and naive. We have grown as they to will grow. Yes, my mother and sister are both beautiful angels that were taken too soon. But, they gave me this unbelievable strength. My mother taught me to go on. She showed me how to be a kind and giving person. She taught me that it can get me into "hot water" so to speak. She taught me that yes, even the good ones get the "Shit end of the stick!" This is more so than those who cheat, lie, steal and truly hurt their loved ones. But, IT'S HOW YOU LEARN FROM THOSE MOMENTS THAT TRULY MAKE YOU A GOOD PERSON!! My sister taught me that life no matter what it was, was worth living! She taught me to love every moment. And if something was expensive who cares? Just go and get it! You only have one life! So, LIVE IT! And she did! She lived her life her way no matter what! She didn't spend a single moment with regret! She loved as much as one could. She laughed til she cried and she had fun! And that is how I need to remember her! She showed me that even if the most special thing you do in life is to love your kids and make someone smile, then My Lord YOU DO IT! And she did it well! Basically it comes down to this one thing in life. It is YOUR CHOICE! You can CHOOSE to be a VICTIM and lose your self respect. Or you can CHOOSE TO fight for YOURSELF AND YOUR SPIRIT, FREEDOM AND INDIVIDUALALITY. Our mothers can only guide us. If we take anything from them, it should be the respect they so deserved. We deserve it as well. This year I must give one piece of advice to my friends. "TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS!" If a guy screwed you over once, he will do it again. He will keep doing it as long as you let him! And if he is too perfect to be true, that is always a red flag as well. All relationships endure some complications. It's how you handle them, learn and grow that affect the healthiness of your relationship. And as I sit here and say, yes, MEN ARE ABUSERS, you need to remember that the same can apply TO WOMEN AS WELL. Not all women are the VICTIMS or SURVIVORS. Some can be the Abusers. And it isn't always a relationship. Sometimes it can be the women who emotionally abuse you. They make make you feel belittled or like they are superior. They may try to make you feel incompetent or not worthy of the one you love. IT IS UP TO YOU TO ELIMINATE TOXIC PEOPLE FROM YOUR LIFE! I know I for one am ecstatic to be free of TOXIC PEOPLE! I am happy to hold my head up high and stand proud of my family and our accomplishments. And despite all my losses, I have A VOICE! So, BREAK THE SILENCE AND STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE! Be safe and be true to yourself. As a lesson from my mother's and sisters deaths, I have learned to fight for what I believe in. My mother and sister were both very independent and strong woman. They believed strongly in standing up for what you believe in. This site is to help other women to remember to fight for their beliefs. NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS THAN YOU DESERVE. There is always a better answer than to get hurt or allow others you love to be hurt in the proccess. I am thankful to the Lord, I have been blessed with a wonderful husband. We have been together for 18 years. We have four beautiful children. We have our house with the picket fence, our family puppies and we are living our love song. He has been my angel. He has helped me overcome soo much in life. 18 years worth of ups and downs, losses and achievments, deaths and births, love and acceptance. He treats me like a princess. This past Valentine's day he surprised me with a night out at a fancy restaurant where he had 2 dozen roses delivered and waiting for me at our table. That was beautiful! So many jealous looks and men who were like "damn, why didn't I think of that lol"I loved it. It was like we were having our first one. That is how a girl should be treated. And so, I refuse to spend my days, miserable. I love to help others. I am proud to be alive. I am proud to have found my other half, my soulmate. And I think that this site should focus on women being able to overcome their troubles and issues of violence. I think that woman should see the happy ever afters that do exist. All women should feel like a princess from the man that loves them.I can only hope that everyone could be as lucky as me. Stay with a man who is with you through thick and thin. Remember there are bumpy roads because nothing is perfect! But, it is possible to truly be blessed with your soul mate. I for one am thankful for the gift of life!
