The Stop Firestone Campaign is working to hold the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company accountable for over 80 years of exploitation in Liberia! Firestone has operated a rubber plantation in Harbel, Liberia since 1926. The plantation is characterized by child labor, abuse of workers' rights and environmental destruction. We are a coalition of US and Liberia-based organizations working to push Firestone to change their policies and be a responsible presence in Liberia.
As a result of Firestone's actions in Liberia, they received the Public Eye Award this year for WORST GLOBAL CORPORATION! Click here and here for more information.
