We did it for shits and giggles and a bit of petrol money and we ended up totally out of pocket; but it was worth it.
For 4 years, two Steve's and a drummer made music that most people weren't daft enough to bother with and which was not inspired by: the slate grey skies, steel industry, hills... although we did once pen a tune about the lovely ladies of London Road. It was kind of an accident though. That'll teach Ste to teach shy singers how to sing.
We sung glorious odes to the stars and the future (mainly the bleak dystopian futures envisioned by our favourite Sci-Fi authors).
Unless you've got your speakers off then you know what we sounded like at the last point we chronicled our music in recorded form. Its getting better all the time, but its not sounding like Shed 7.
When my internet gets back up i'll put the real latest stuff online.
Sorry.
Steven Doyle (Mr Doyle to some people).
PS When Mike's well we'll do a show.

Its been selling faster than we expected, and we currently only have around a quarter of our stock left - so we thought we'd better you all know that if you want a copy then now would be a good time to pick one up! If you buy it from the link above then you're buying it direct from us, the label aren't taking a cut - so its a bit like Fair Trade for struggling musicians.
International mail-order is available, just follow the instructions.
Thank you very much, and sorry for making a mess of your profile. If its any kind of consolation, we don't have a MySpace bot, so I'm leaving these comments the old fashioned way. Three -and-a-half thousand of them. My life is so exciting.
Sad times are afoot! It's all about to end. Yes, Oh My Word! will be playing their final gig on Tuesday 15th September 2009. We hope you can attend this "FUNERAL SPECIAL"!
Just to let you know that we've recently changed our booking proceedures so that dates and booking info can be obtained by emailing a blank enquiry to:
redhouseenquiry@gmail.com
Since we're booking up now for the summer and September I wanted everyone who's taken the time to seek us out on Myspace to have a chance to get a gig booked.
The Bon Bon Club are Sushi Quatro (bass, vox), Thirsty Moore (drums, vox) and Chapatti Smith (perc, vox), although Sushi and Thirsty are better known under different names for their day job as the rhythm section of Sheffield glam-popsters The Long Blondes.
