"The Preacher" was recorded at the infamous Ectoplasmic Garden studio by Marco Fasolo, using archaic techniques from several decades ago, on tape and in mono, because the songs – although modern – required that simple and magic touch. The Preacher tries to convert the masses, soon failing in his attempts. The Preacher dies, victim of a jealous hand, but finding the much looked-for peace at last.
Upon hearing it on the record, this story’s connected to different times and worlds. A.P.Cechov. A British brass quintet. "The Tin Drum". The Everly Brothers.
Special guests on the album are Chiara Gelmini on vocals, Vittorio Demarin on strings, the Coupland Brass Quintet (Manchester, UK), and the one Loren Chasse (Jewelled Antler Collective, San Francisco) creating sounds, atmospheres, treatments on "Apparition of Midnight".
