My name is Ryan and I serve no purpose in this life, except to play drums...
...and love my beautiful girlfriend dimples for a bazillion years! haha
I don't care if I play in front of 10 people or 10,000 people.
I play drums, its what I do.
If i'm not behind my kit, I spend my time behind the mixer doing live sound for various bands and venues around the Chicagoland area. As well as promotion, graphic/web design, recording, live video, all that fun shit! Theres not much more to my life other than that.
And I'm VERY happy!

By the time I die, I want to have headlined every major national venue. I'd want to live my life on the road, with my band, and live life one gig at a time.

Drum Physiology


Drumming has physiological effects. It increases heart rate and blood flow kind of like aerobic exercise. The process of drumming engages both the linear, (rational left brain) and the creative, (intuitive right brain). The two brain hemispheres often eminate different wave frequencies. Drumming is like a deep meditation. It brings you into synchronization, which is a state of consciousness.
Drumming links humans to the vibrations of the earth by slowing the brain waves to around 8 cycles per second, the exact frequency of the earth. Drumming heals the human energy field. If your intention is for some healing while you drum, it will.

Some other benefits of drumming are:

A balance for internal energy
