.. .. Why carbon fiber? Carbon fiber instruments are not only much more durable than traditional wooden instruments, they also deliver a sound that has extraordinary resonance and beauty. The instruments can not only be heard over a piano or orchestra, but their sound can fill a large hall. They have a unique look, unique sound and the weight savings and design possibilities open up an unexplored new world of instrument design. Carbon Fiber Instruments No need for humidification Stays in tune Consistent action and playability Doesn't need truss rod Headstock won't break Top won't belly Won't split if it gets too dry Won't sound dull if humid Fret edges won't protrude Tolerant of temperature extremes Water won't hurt instrument (except gears and electronics) Cutting edge ergonomic designs possible Goes anywhere Ready anytime Traditional Wood Instruments Needs humidification if humidity drops below 40% Needs frequent tuning if temperature or humidity is changing Action can change with changing temperature and humidity Periodic truss rod adjustments are common Headstock can break if instrument falls Top can belly-up over time, changing action and tone Will split if it gets too dry Can sound dull and muffled in humid conditions Fret edges can protrude if fretboard gets dry Most useable in 65 – 80F range Water from rain, dew, spills, etc. can destroy instrument Traditional bent wood designs Must be protected from humidity, temperature, water, impact Needs time to acclimate if moved to new environment

About me:

Welcome to Stormbringer Guitars' Space. Stormbringer is in the process of presenting a new line of carbon fiber instruments beginning with a Dreadnought acoustic along the lines of the Martin D series. Along with the great looks of carbon fiber this guitar promises to project with a clarity and loudness that has to be heard to be believed. And we plan to get it to you for 1/2 to 1/3 the price other manufacturers want for quality carbon fiber musical instruments.
