Corey is an experienced vocalist who enjoys all music, but particularly enjoys country, rock and southern rock. With Storm Creek he is thrilled to be singing songs that combine all three styles. Corey has an amazing range, serving up some traditional Johnny Cash one minute and rockin’ full out Paul Rodgers the next! Combined with his sharp wit, Storm Creek’s front man enjoys interacting with the crowd and making sure a fun time is had by all at every show! Supported in his music endeavors by his wife and 4 children, Corey is excited to play music with a group of like minded people who enjoy sharing their gifts from God to perform music and above all HAVE FUN!!
** Tony Klontz ** Lead Guitar
An accomplished musician with an ear for precision, Tony brings a unique blend of styles to his approach to music. He cut his guitar playing teeth on blues until he discovered the sounds of metal. He has been a member of several working bands including the progressive rock group Antix, the classic rock group Quebec and more. Tony also currently lends his talents to the metal group Daze of Never and the fabulous multi-genre Quarter Past 8. Tony has enjoyed the challenge of finding ways to combine rock licks and country twang. A shredding guitar solo is always lurking just beneath the surface providing great fun for the band and audience. He's a serious student of guitar sounds, always searching for the perfect tone to express his musical wanderings. Tony stays close to music in his hobbies of guitar customizing and song writing and enjoys the enthusiastic support of his wife and son.
** John Kohlenberg ** Drums
John has been playing drums since his dad bought him his first kit at the age of five. A few years later he started playing the old time country favorites with his dad in the band "California Country". Heavy metal found John in the eighties after which he put down the sticks for a while to concentrate on family. But music soon came calling again and the itch to play resurfaced. With his wife's encouragement, John picked up the sticks again and helped to form Storm Creek, bringing the flavors of old time country and metal combined into a rockin’ new country brew. John's wife and family are an important part of Storm Creek’s support system and John's solid back beat is a driving force behind the band. The whole team depends on him to keep the beat rockin'.
** Mike Henderson ** Bass
Mike started playing the trumpet in grade school and continued on to the baritone horn in high school. After a long break from music to attend college and start a family, he pursued a life-long interest in the bass guitar. Mike has become accomplished on the bass in several music styles and has played with other local working bands. He has been described as a pocket bass player which he acknowledges is his style. He is a member of ASCAP and has contributed to works that have had commercial TV and radio airplay. He has a recording studio and has recorded for Storm Creek and other bands and artists. Mike's wife Cat has provided a lot of his musical inspiration as she is an accomplished lifelong musician herself. She is a great source of energy and support to him and the entire band. Our drive wouldn’t be the same without Mike’s great bass tones and solid rhythm foundation!
