Especially post WWII black humorists/satirists/evil pseudo realists (I just made that up)...like Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Joseph Heller, Saul Bellow, Phillip Roth and Don Delillo...I dig the the Beats, especially Burroughs and Eastern Scheeee-it; I'm a Bukowski fan and I also enjoy Mark Leyner, Donald Barthelme, John Barth, Thomas Pynchon, Tom Robbins, Jonathan Lethem, Harry Crews, Pete Dexter, Martin Amis, Will Self, etc...I generally feel abandoned unless I have a good book tucked under my arm, pillow, car seat or woman. I often prefer a good book to a good woman, much to my wife's annoyance. Kidding...?

Born in Boston somewhere between when the Summer of Love became the Summer of Hate and Murder, I began to toddle and dress up in the 70's, functionally grew up in the early 80's at various now-non-existent Beantown clubs (the Rat, the Channel....), went to college in same-said town. Uh, this Gen X n'er-do-well now spends whatever free time he has available in the garage painting and writing songs and indulging in a pint or two. Generally turning up the vintage ampage to eleven and annoying the neighbors. Having accomplished various and sundry wee little life goals (shown paintings in NYC, recorded and distributed first CD, working on second, published poetry and short stories multiple times in semi-disreputable journals, art-directed feature length film, etc...), now illustrating a children's book and otherwise in search of continued adventures involving the above or the new New. Currently renovating an 1880's farmhouse at the mouth of Narragansett Bay. After a hard day's work at home or at, uh, work, I unwind by blowing people's heads off on GTA's Vice City. I dunno, there's just something soothing about it, even for this committed pacifist... Anyhoo, I also enjoy gardening, reading, knitting and taking naps... At the moment, I am engaged with a variety of musician friends on graphic design and promotion.... and hanging with the fam and caring for our extended menangerie: Millie the Hampster, Tillie the Cat and our Pekingese: Otis! Missing many of my ol' friends who are scattered all over the globe generally being fabulous... just kinda hoping to re-establish some lost contacts and make some new ones... blah... blah... blah...
So, I was in Sante Fe the other day.... I'm walking in and out of these art galleries... The whole time I'm thinking, "Nate's art is so much better than all of this shit" Seriously Nate you are an untapped talent. You're artwork has character and an appeal to it that a lot of artists don't have. I'm so tired of seeing fucking paintings of New Mexican landscape and tired Mexican workers... It's just typical. Horses man... Fucking horse painting everywhere... hahahaha You really gotta get some of your stuff out here. I met a lady who owns a nice little gallery in Sante Fe I might be able to get some of your stuff in. The paintings in her shop are selling for upwards of 500.00!!!! I don't know her well, but she did let my daughter play her harp for a little while. I'm sure she'd be more than interested to showcase some amazing art like yours... Anyways.. miss you guys... yes man. I'm actually coming home soon to do some recording for sage. I'm gonna swing by RHD for a bit and see how things are developing. I saw the mrs.six eyes video!! Amazing!
