Monsoon and Lenny Kurlou captivate their listeners and audiences with their own unique styles that blend together to form a wicked singer/DJ collaboration. The two have been compared to the rap duo Outkast and their onstage collaboration described as a style where Peter Tosh meets Capleton.
Superior singer/songwriter/ producer, Lenny Kurlou, brings the flavor of a smooth operator with the diversity of his voice and captivating lyrics. Born in Cockburn Pen, Jamaica, Lenny Kurlou began his singing career early in life. He has opened for artists such as Beres Hammond, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, and the late Notorious B.I.G.
Singer/ Songwriter/DJ, Monsoon, born Denton Bedward, comes out of Clarendon, Jamaica. His lyrical delivery and strong stage presence commands the attention of any audience. Monsoon has blazed opening shows for artists that include Elephant Man, Capleton, Luciano, and Steel Pulse.
Darryl “Trane” Burke has been in the reggae business for over 12 years both as a musician and as a producer. Trane has produced & toured with several international artists that include Eek a Mouse, Fey , Carlton Livingston and Culture.
Ambrose “Amby” Connor out of the island of St. Croix adds his musical skills to the equation on bass or drums. He has recorded and toured with several artists that include Don Carlos and the Itals.
Collectively, S.T.O.R.M. has received several DC awards in the last few years that include Best Band of the Year, Best Male Singer and Best DJ.
Their latest track "Call Me" on the riddim driven album titled, "Love & Justice", was released Fall 2006. S.T.O.R.M.'s Limited Edition EP was released in early 2007 and featured the hit songs, Gimmie di Treez and Hola Hola! Their full length album, titled "Eye of the S.T.O.R.M." was mixed at Anchor Studios, in Kingston, Jamaica and co-produced by Nigel Burrell, producer of I-Wayne's hit, Can’t Satisfy Her and Richie Spices’ hit, Earth A Run Red. Additional work on the album was done at Mixing Lab Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, alongside Marlon "Pyrana" Cooke, co-producer of Sean Paul's album, "The Trinity", and Powermix Records Entertainment Group, Inc in Brooklyn, NY.
