I also have read most of Anne Rice and JK Rowling (I'll admit it, will you?). Unfortunately, I loved all these authors prior to the movies. It's hard for a movie to live up to a good book you've already read, kwim?
Other reading interests I have are....
-Sci-fi/Fantasy (Heinlein,Zimmerman Bradley, among others)
-Mythology and ancient civ/religions,
-Paranormal studies and stories
-Plays (Noel Coward, Shakespeare, some David Mamet),
-Instructional manuals (i.e. - knitting, cooking, web building, various computer programs and applications, etc. - even faux painting techniques!)
- Oh, and we're currently working through the entire catalog of Dr. Seuss. Saving it to memory even!
-Almost forgot my love of short stories! A few that stick out in my mind...."Welcome to the Monkey House" by Kurt Vonnegut, "Night Shift" by Stephen King and the works of Robert Fulghum when I need a soul soother. |
