10.31.09 Happy Halloween everyone! Some of you might have heard that Mark and Wills were in a bad car crash two weeks ago. In spite of the accident, Mark was still able to play the two Dear Hunter shows that we had booked. Because we had our friend and producer Trevor Simpson fill in on guitar, Casey from the Dear Hunter went to visit Wills at the hospital on our day off. More details will be posted soon in a video blog!

SO! STB will be heading into the studio on August 15 to begin recording our 8 song EP! As of right now, we have a Recher show coming up on August 8th, and we are trying to do a large number of presales so that we can have some money for the studio to record with! So Please! if you are not doing anything on August 8th, come out to the show. Its a great lineup and it will be lots of fun!

Hey everyone! I haven't posted in awhile, but, Storm The Beaches has been extremely busy. Yesterday, Josh and I went shopping for our merch table. We also ordered the NEW T-SHIRTS! On July 16, we are playing at Sonar in Baltimore with The Audition and The Higher and more, so if you come out to that you can see the awesome new merch table. Also, yesterday our good friend Hannah Singleton came out to our practice space and took our press shots for the new layout that will be posted on Thursday! AND MOST IMPORTANTLY we are proud to announce that in August, we will be heading into the studio with Trevor Simpson to record our first EP!! Being that this is a very expensive process, we would love if everyone can help out by picking up a t-shirt or buying a ticket to our shows!! We really excited for what's coming!

Danny again, I just wanted to tell you guys that after " Some Sort Of Distraction" hits 10,000 plays, we will be posting a new demo for you guys to check out before we go into the studio to record a EP. We also need some " myspace help" from you guys. We are hoping that we can find people to put a " STB" after their myspace or put up a banner on their page. Hey world, Danny here. Last night a few of us went to the bamboozle road show at the Recher. There was a ton of kids there, and it was a lot of fun. We go to shows all the time around Baltimore to hang out and to tell more people about STB. So, if you see us there, PLEASE PLEASE come up and say hi and hang out with us. You guys have been doing that a lot but I want to see more of you! Also, If you are going to a show in the area that we are not playing, send us a message and tell us and well come and hang out! Tonight I'll be at Fletchers so hopefully I see you guys there!
Arising from two Baltimore area bands, Storm the Beaches is electrifying venues throughout eastern Maryland. Mark Mikina, formerly of The Autumn Sun, sings, writes and plays guitar with maturity beyond his youth. The rhythm section is comprised of bassist Danny Reedy, also from The Autumn Sun, and drummer Josh Yeager from Danny's first band, Chasing Honesty. With the addition of Mark's long-time friend Wills Mayo, a bluegrass aficionado, the band began rehearsing and, soon after, recording their unique brand of music. The band's captivating, melodic sound is delivered live with powerful, feverish intensity. Unquestionably one of Baltimore's premier musical acts, Storm the Beaches will no doubt be seeing you at their upcoming shows.

Our myspace page is ran by the band, and the band ONLY. Anytime you get a comment, message...etc from us, it was actually FROM US.

Yes. Summer for long periods and during the school year we are around the east coast.

Well, it helps a ton when people have our song on their page. Also there is a banner and you could post bulletin's and put that up on your page as well.
