And then! Out of the patchouli and dust laden fug of Aluna comes the quite, quite spectacular, trans generational party rock n' motherlovin' roll of Storm Theory. Despite having a name mugged from some shit emo band, these lot bring the party like the venue's about to explode. With the singer's mighty jubblies threatening to break free from her bondage top at any given moment, it just might. This lot are freakin' great. Straight up. Happy music played by happy people out for a laugh. Good times.
Kind of like a bomb full of bastard going off at a one woman hen night, if they had played a high school prom in the fifties, concerned looking parents would have escorted their charges from the building, muttering "gee...that was definitely not swell. They've made Jesus cry." (Ninehertz.co.uk)
HOW TO BOOK US: Please email the band through My Space or at stormtheory@gmail.com, we love to make new "Storm whores"
THE CHANGING FACES AND COSTUMES 2005 TO PRESENT
The sleaze, the story, the “Storm”
As I sit gazing over
yonder rooftops checking out my pet Seagull (called Steven – geddit?) I felt
compelled to bestow on the world the story of Storm Theory (aka Storum Feeree,
Brizzle fashion). It was a blistering hot day and I was cruisin’ on my maneater
motorbike on my way to a second audition in deepest darkest Somerset where only
fairies dare roam and joy ride in tractors! Over the past 3 years some have been unable to don the sleaze and big hair metal in the true ways of the "Storm" and there has been an ever
changing madness on our musical adventure fasten your seatbelts lads n lassies this is gonna be one helluva ride!!!!!!!!!!.
The recipe
for this “cockrocktail” is as follows:
Bang it all in
a blender and hey presto you now have a story that in 1959 announced that rock
music "tightens the cow's glandular system and deters milking," with a strange
headline claiming "Rock 'n' Roll Makes Cows Tighten Up." So I guess you are
thinking who the hell are they? Well, unlike most egotistical wannabees you wont find us saying “We’re
the next big thing” we are a freakin crazy bunch of quirky musicians that just
want to have fun with our music and entertain anyone daft enough to turn up to
our gigs. Be warned boys and watch out for "Wots my Poison"you may just get stitched up.
Jordan Rivera is back this time with legendary UK singer Spoonface (faada.co.uk). The voice of Number one selling Black Legend and club anthem 'Hey Girl'. Black Legend's "You See the Trouble with Me" reached #1 in the UK Singles Chart selling several million worldwide. Many recognise Spoonface's contribution to the sound of Ukfunky with the classic dancefloor hit 'Hey Girl' With a host of collaborations from Drum and Bass maestro High Contrast to Reggae Legend Janet Kay, his current efforts have kept him at the top of the club charts with tracks like Wunna Be (Christain Marchi remix) and Here For You (Time srl). This track is called 'Keep on Holding'. It's an inspirational house record aiming to provide some upliftment in these 'crazy time's'. Remixes by Jesse Voorn (Dance4Life), Firebeatz (Spinnin/Big&Dirty), John Jacobsen & Anzwer (Pacha Ibiza Residents) Nino Anthony (Portamento/Subliminal), TYNY & Jeremus (Full Throttle Rec.), Amir Barbell (FSM), Jodee Kitch (FSM) and Norty Cotto (Naughty Boy Music/Henry Street Music) Have already become a triumphant hit on myspace!"
After a year and a few months.. we finally have a track up!
Hope you like it, and hope you.. well.. get what we're doing/where we're coming from etc. !
