   About Storm Warning
.. .. ..
What's The Music About?

Storm Warning are one of the most musically dynamic and interesting bands on the UK blues/rock scene.

“One of Britain’s most talented and well respected Blues bands….. a distinctive blend of contemporary blues, rock that creates their trademark slick and classy sound.” Blues Matters magazine.

“Soulful gut-bucket groove that’s half hard times, half good-time-all-the-time…..they delve deep into breezy jazz, fiery rock or smoky R&B, but the blues always call them back.” Classic Rock magazine.

“Clever, complex and compelling…this is a progressive album that sounds relatively distinct from any predecessors. An impressive assured set.” Blues in Britain magazine

Who's In The Band?

Vocalist Steve Norchi has recently joined the band. He has previously worked with Mark Knopfler and Pick Withers and Brewers Droop. The blues/rock lead guitar of Bob Moore, shares the solos with the classic organ and piano sounds of Ian Salisbury which adds an additional blues-based dimension. Ian is also one hell of a blues harp player. Drummer Roger Willis, formerly with Capability Brown and Krazy Kat, and bassist Derek White complete the line-up, forming what The Blues Band bass man Gary Fletcher described as “an ace rhythm section.”

New Album - Something Real

‘Something Real’, the 2nd and latest album, has eight superbly crafted original songs and one Lucky Peterson cover. It was recorded at M.A.R.S Studios by Martin Atkinson who has worked on the latest albums by Buddy Guy, Lucky Peterson and Deborah Coleman, for the JSP label. The CD is available throughout the UK, at all good record shops and available online at music websites including Amazon, HMV, Tesco, Blues CD Store etc. plus now available on itunes and other download sites.

"'Something Real' by Storm Warning is a sublime piece of modern electric blues, cool and sophisticated, just about as good as it gets and totally on the button!! Brilliant!! - Toxic Pete website www.toxicpete.co.uk

"This British group's second album oozes class....." - The Sunday Express.

Breaking Out Debut Album

Storm Warning released their debut album, Breaking Out, reaching no.48 in the Amazon Blues Charts. Produced by the band and Martin Atkinson at his M.A.R.S. studio, the album features seven original tracks and two covers of modern blues standards. It received excellent reviews including Blues In Britain (10 out of 10 rating), Blues Matters! Magazines and Blues Revue USA. The band earned the critical seal of approval from Paul Jones, when he played the track ‘Bullets’ on his BBC Radio 2 show. The response to the track from listeners persuaded the BBC to ask the band to record a live session for the show and the result was broadcast on June 22nd 2006 and once again accolades and CD sales came flooding in.

What The Media Says......

Storm Warning’s live performances are powerful and dynamic, leading one blues journalist to write at the end of their review for Blues in Britain magazine;

“This is a tight, classy outfit that should be on every promoter’s wish list.”

“Storm Warning presented a beautifully crafted set, weaving an intoxicating mix of the traditional with jazzier and rockier elements to keep momentum through to the inevitable encore. They've certainly hit the nail on the head in designing this set of, principally, original material and this fresh approach, expertly executed by a great team of musicians, was more than appreciated by the members, indeed the feedback received, both at the event and follow up e-mail, has been quite phenomenal!" – R. Dobney Bottleneck Blues Club

“In essence this CD is a collection of fine songs by fine musicians, well worth adding to the collection and a cracking first release. Rating 10” – Blues in Britain magazine

“…..really an excellent CD …..damn fine band who have a distinct individuality. Very much recommended.” – Blues Matters magazine

“For all their rocking they’d actually remembered it was about the Blues! A cracking set. This was a much needed band for the Festival’s Monday” Blues Matters review from the Great British R&B Festival in Colne

“England’s five-piece Storm Warning bring a contemporary feel to classic blues and blues-rock….Bob Moore’s guitar work is tasteful." Blues Revue USA

Storm Warning's music is now being played on blues radio stations and programmes all over the world and attracting a great deal of attention with many offers to play festivals and more critical acclaim. Storm Warning are certainly Storming the British Blues scene and soon to storm the rest of Europe and maybe the world!
