Bio
!!!!!THE STORM IS COMING!!!!!! We have not been available for gigs etc since January 2011 when Steve T, our Bass player and principle vocalist, decided it was time to move on and seek musically experiences with other musicians and to continue with his guitar tuition education. We wish Steve all the best for the future and for his contribution to Stormy Monday for the past 4 years. We now have a new addition to Stormy Monday Robb Bryant who has been rehearsing with Steve A and Alan on our standard set and a selection of new material to be played at future gigs. "Robb began playing bass in 1988, after his brother Chris bought him his first bass guitar for his 17th birthday. It was his brother Chris that gave him his first few bass lessons to get him on his way. His first taste of playing in a band came with playing old Cream and Jimi Hendrix numbers with his brother on guitar and a mate on drums. He jammed in garage bands whilst attending college, finally joining the local band Myndwerx in 1992. After a stint playing bass and backing vocals in another local band S.N.R. between 1993 and 1994, Robb joined the Indie Rock / Heavy Metal crossover band N.O.A. (formerly Khaine) in 1994 playing numerous gigs and appearing on various demos and live recordings - until N.O.A. partially disbanded in 1995. Robb participated in a 3-piece heavy metal project, Blind Justice, as bassist / lead vocalist in 1997. After a long hiatus, Robb began jamming with local bands in the 2000's, until joining Stormy Monday in 2011. Robb considers joining Stormy Monday as returning to his roots of playing Prog Rock and Blues." Robb has brought his musical tastes and influences to Stormy Monday so we will have a different sound and style to our original sets and look forward to playing this 'new' music for you very soon.
