Stormy Strong may just now be starting to approach gale-force, but
the music he has been creating and performing has been brewing for
years. Performing solo acoustic or with backing band, Stormy’s music
casts melodic hooks to the hungry masses. Inspired by a life of
growing up in and around coastal towns along California’s West Coast.
With his unique voice, style and unforgettable anthems, Stormy is quickly charting his own magical course in the new music
industry
Formerly the frontman for a successful California pop-punk
act, Stormy has found shelter and home in his own vision. With years
of traveling between coastal fishing towns, being trapped in near
deadly storms at sea and spending a lot of time on various seaside
docks, these maritime adventures have all had a profound influence on
his music. Stormy’s lyrics are emotionally charged, epic dramas with
a strong list in the storytelling direction. Stormy is now even more
passionately energetic about his music and still the positive creative
performer he always was.
Now continuing into 2008 Stormy’s music has been featured on
MTV and is heavily requested on internet radio, sees increasing demand
from both digital distributors and peer to peer file sharing
networks. Stormy’s song "Save You" won the Great American Songwriting
Contest in Alt/Rock genre in 2006 and he has already captured the
attention of notable music industry veterans with his unique brand of
rock. Also in 2006 his song "Sail Away" made the cut onto KGO-Radio’s
"The Best Music You’ve Never Heard". Stormy was also recognized at
the 2006 Taxi Convention by legendary record producer Michael Lloyd
for his song "Save You".
He is currently working on his full length record to be recorded
this summer and regularly playing shows.
Hi Stormy! This sounds like a life changing and a nerve hardening experiance. I'll keep you in my closest prayers that you make a full recovery and keep pumping out more awesome music!
Hey Stormy! Haven't checked in since Christmas...lol..thought it best to stop by and say Hello and see how you and the family are doing?? How's everything going these days my friend?
Hey Stormy, you actually came and performed at my high school like two years ago (Mills High School in Millbrae) and now I go to UC Santa Cruz and it's ironic how you're originally from the 831 as well. Just to let you know, our local diner/bar Banana Joe's is always looking for live bands to perform at their campus location. You can just come on campus and probably just talk to the manager to see what times they have available. Just a heads up!
