About Story 48

GENERAL INFO -In 2006 Three middle school lads Ivan, Matt, Preston and a High School Sophmore Bryan started a garage Band called Just One Rule. Did a few shows here and there.
- In the spring of 2007 Preston had to leave the Band cuz of too many School comittments, thus the Trio of Ivan, Matt and Bryan formed Story 48. Many peeps ask what is the meaning of Story 48. Its kind of like the bands born on date Ivan was 15 Matt was 15 and Bryan 18= 48 yrs. The members recorded they're first full length 11 song Album "Lucky" in March 2008. The band was gaining quite a following. In June 2008 along with southern rock country artist Glitter Rose, along with there new Bassist Eddie they performed before a sellout crowd at the historic Poor Davids Pub in Downtown Dallas. Soon after that performance Matt and Ivan had to leave the band to concentrate on church and School. The early legacy of Story 48 would not end. Bryan was determined to continue Story 48 with new members Brent, Blake and Ben. Story 48 has performed over 50 live shows in the d/fw area. Original members Ivan and Matt still jamm with the band and occasionely still do live performances with Story 48. With such great young talent associated with Story 48 the future looks bright.

- March 16th, 2008, Supernova Dallas Qualifier "Out of the Garage" Series: Story 48 wins the 12-band competition to advance to the City Finals.
- June 7th, 2008, Supernova Dallas Finals "Out of the Garage" Series: Story 48 receives the 3rd Place Award in which 40 bands had competed.
- September 25th, 2008: Scobre Press, the number 1 book seller of young adult books in the United States names Story 48 as one of there top 5 finalists in the search for the band which will be the subject of author Ron Bermans upcoming book. Check out this video: Jenna Power
