NOW PLAYING

COMING ATTRACTIONS

..TICKET PRICES!..
Regular movie tickets are $7.00 ($5.00 for seniors 60+, children under 12, students with school ID, and active military w/ ID). Regular Rocky Horror tickets are $5.00. Prices vary with special shows. Credit cards are accepted for tickets and concession. You may purchase your tickets at the theatre or through Online Ticketing (a $1 processing fee applies to online purchases).

..NEW RELEASES!..
Did you know that The Beach Theatre shows New Releases? That's right, the theatre has been almost completely renovated, including upgrades to the projection and sound systems, so that New Releases can be shown at The Beach Theatre! Instead of paying $8-$9 on a single ticket somewhere else, you can pay much less here! To see what's playing now, click here!

..THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW!..
The 1975 cult classic, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," is shown at The Beach Theatre Saturday nights at 11:30pm with a LIVE cast called "Interchangeable Parts!" If you've seen the movie, you have to see it performed live on stage! To learn more about the show, see the cast's website, http://ip.rhps.org. Rated R (not recommended for children).

..FREE KIDS MATINEES!..
Did you know that The Beach Theatre caters to children and families? That's right. The Beach Theatre shows family movies for FREE on most Saturday mornings! How many theatres do that? For these listings as well as other special events, click here!

..INDEPENDENT FILMS!..
The Beach Theatre is proud to be an independent theatre and the new owner intends to keep it that way. Unlike big chain theatres, The Beach Theatre is proud to present independent films that you can't find anywhere else! Please check the calendar for dates and times.

..COMEDY SHOWS!..
Like comedy? Who doesn't? Some of the best comedian acts in the area come to perform at The Beach Theatre! To see when the next comedy show is playing, click here!

..CULT CLASSICS!..
The Beach Theatre is the place to go for cult classics! Movies such as "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," "Young Frankenstein," "Night of the Living Dead," and many more are movies that you might see at The Beach Theatre on Friday nights! Some of these haven't been seen on the big screen in decades, so if you're into cult classics, make sure to bookmark The Beach Theatre's Cult Classics page!

..CONCESSION STAND!..
The Beach Theatre has a terrific concession stand that sells not only the expected popcorn, candy, sodas, and nachos, but it has wonderful extras such as hot dogs, ice cream, wine, and beer! That's right, you can buy drink alcohol while watching your movie! The Beach Theatre has a huge selection to choose from (more than some bars!), such as Guinness, Budweiser, Bud Light, Bud Select, Michelob, Heinekin, Sam Adams, Negro Modelo, Ichiban, Red Stripe, and many more! You can even use your credit card for your purchases!

..THE BEACH THEATRE'S HISTORY:..
The Theatre was built in 1939 for about $50,000 by Boston financier Stephen Girard, and was said to be the first theater ever erected for sound equipment on the coast. The St. Pete Beach Theatre was the first building on Corey Avenue, which was a fairly busy road in those days because the causeway was the only route on and off St. Pete Beach. The Theatre is a historic landmark along the west coast of Florida and was originally outfitted with 528 seats (currently, there are 245 seats). For more information about The Beach Theatre's history, click here!

..EMAIL THE BEACH THEATRE:.. Do you want to suggest a movie? Would you like to advertise on our big screen? Sponsor a kids movie? Have a question? Email the theatre at Comments@beach-theatre.com

Hi J! Had an enjoyable time watching Star Trek last Monday, and I look forward to the Newsletter to keep updated on what's coming to the theatre. Its nice to see the place is still going with comfortable seats and reasonably priced drinks and goodies to munch on. Can NOT believe the Rocky Horror Show is still going on as well. What a trip! Thanks for the add, and have a great weekend!

I decided what the most badass thing ever would be: You guys get permission to show Mystery Science Theatre 3000 movies. Seeing that Gamera was playing reminded me of about 3 seasons worth of MST3K. Do it. Do it.

Hey Beach Theatre- I'm glad you found me and gave me the opportunity to be your friend. I loved going to movies here when I lived in the area. I've moved to Nashville, Tennessee but now I have a great way to check out what's playing when I'm down visiting. Keep up the good work.
