Meet Pauline. I may be one of the most spontaneous, fun-loving people you'll ever meet -- because I prefer having a good time over taking my life too seriously...I am happily married to my soul mate, Ryan; we've been together since 1994...We eloped in 1999, but we're hoping to have a regular wedding with all our friends and family someday...Ever since February 2006, I've been fighting my own personal war against breast cancer, but I was raised tough, thanks to my family -- and no matter what happens, I'll never let cancer affect my mind...I followed my childhood dream into radio broadcasting and I currently work as an announcer/office assistant for a talk radio station.
Other things you should know about me:
The MySpace Top 8 means nothing to me. No one is better than anyone else on my list of friends -- I have selected people to be there in the first place because they are all equally cool to me. Though I didn't write this explanation regarding the MySpace Top 8, it generally sums up how I feel.
It's called "MySpace" for a reason. As far as my blogs, I write for my own personal enjoyment -- as well as to sound off on certain topics -- and I do not expect everyone to always agree with me. Whether I agree with you or not, I respect all opinions. And I feel my opinion should be respected as well.
If you want to add me as a friend, you'll discover on my friend request page that I request certain information beforehand. I've never had to do that until recently, when I began getting requests from PornBots and/or spammers wanting to be my "friends". If you can't answer the questions on my friend request page, I might still consider you -- if you send me an e-mail introducing yourself first.
I feel that "first, bitches!!" as a solitary blog comment is a bit on the childish side, and can reflect negatively on the person who posts it -- especially if that person posts said comment without reading the blog first. If you're going to pull those kinds of shenanigans, you may be subject to being picked on (including but not limited to virtual wedgies, wet willies, getting "pantsed", or anything else of like-minded childish nature).
I do not send, nor receive, instant messages. I have been interrupted too many times while I was in the middle of something, so therefore, my IM is shut off. If you'd like to strike up a conversation with me, shoot an e-mail over to me instead.
I do not allow unsolicited advertising of any kind. If I personally enjoy your product, I'll be more than happy to “pimp” you on my page; in the meantime, if you post ads without my approval, they will be deleted and I will report you.
What else? My heritage: 50% Caucasian (British/Scottish/Irish), 50% Pacific Islander (Filipina), born and raised in the Northeastern United States.
My greatest accomplishment: Climbing to the top of a mountain in Maine.
Mankind's greatest inventions: Radio and records.
Favorite month: October, when the foliage is beautiful in New England.
Favorite holiday: Halloween. I'm just a big kid; I still love to dress up in costume.
Guilty pleasures: Computer solitaire, junk food, singing at the top my lungs alone at home, and karaoke.
Pet peeves: Lack of common courtesy, wet floors, dirty bathrooms, mildew, magazine insert cards, insects that creep or fly into buildings, raccoons, Troll dolls, and the smell of hospitals.
Celebrities I believe should not be famous: Actor/comedian Andy Dick (his name is a reflection of his personality) and anyone with the name "Hilton".
I guess this proves that I "ain't too stoopid": Find out your IQ score at Tickle.com.
Who I'd like to meet: Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb, Drew Barrymore, Dolly Parton, the original cast of Sesame Street, and cool people.
Who I avoid like the plague:
Phonys with fake profiles, spammers, webcam girls, stalkers, and PornBots.
I am still thinking of you and how I wished I could have been there. This past month I lost one of my friends and my aunt to breast cancer. I miss you greatly you always had great advice and could always make me laugh. RIP love ya girl muah
My gosh, this seems so unfair. I just got the news a few minutes ago. I hope you are resting in a sweet peace with the Angels. You may not have realized it, but you made a big difference in my life when I was sick. You are truly a beautiful person. You've touched more lives in 30 short years than most of us could touch in 10 life times. Goodbye, God Bless, and a continued Rest In Peace.
I know I only recently reconnected with you Polly and just heard your news yesterday and was blown away. I didn't even realize you were sick. May you rest in Peace and know you were a kind soul and many thought highly of you even though it is being shown a little too late(atleast on my part) Until we all meet again...
I've heard it said That people come into our lives for a reason Bringing something we must learn And we are led To those who help us most to grow If we let them And we help them in return Well, I don't know if I believe that's true But I know I'm who I am today Because I knew you...
Like a comet pulled from orbit As it passes a sun Like a stream that meets a boulder Halfway through the wood Who can say if I've been changed for the better? But because I knew you I have been changed for good
It well may be That we will never meet again In this lifetime So let me say before we part So much of me Is made of what I learned from you You'll be with me Like a handprint on my heart And now whatever way our stories end I know you have re-written mine By being my friend...
Like a ship blown from its mooring By a wind off the sea Like a seed dropped by a skybird In a distant wood Who can say if I've been changed for the better? But because I knew you.. Because I knew you..
I have been changed for good
And just to clear the air I ask forgiveness For the things I've done you blame me for
But then, I guess we know There's blame to share
And none of it seems to matter anymore
Like a comet pulled from orbit As it passes a sun Like a stream that meets a boulder Halfway through the wood
Like a ship blown from its mooring By a wind off the sea Like a seed dropped by a bird in the wood
Who can say if I've been Changed for the better? I do believe I have been Changed for the better
And because I knew you...
Because I knew you... Because I knew you... I have been changed for good...
Rest in peace sweet Polly. You touched my heart. You made a difference on this Earth. Thank you for adding me to your prayer list. You were on my prayer list as well. My condolences to your family. With love, Kris
