Founded by Woody Mitchell in 2001, the Stragglers have rocked the Southeast with their legendary shows ever since. This Charlotte band combines the finesse of Asleep at the Wheel, the drive of Commander Cody and the passion of Santana, plus originals including the title song from their album “Carolina Boogie.” The energy they generate gets the crowd moving early and leaves them yelling for more at the end.

The Stragglers have appeared at the Flat Rock Music Festival, Lake Eden Arts Festival, Tryon Barbecue Festival, Neighborhood Theatre, Visulite Theatre and many of the region’s top nightclubs. Members of the Stragglers have played in the Spongetones, Rank Outsiders, Loafer’s Glory, the Moody Brothers and DeLancey Street.

David Floyd has found his dream house. A rental ranch way WAY out in the country: 3 BD with great electric and a fine porch. He moves there and at the end of the moving day he sits on the porch and views the massive horizons. He sees a small silouhette on the horizon…slowly walking closer. 2 hours later the man arrives and announces: “You’re in luck. Tonight is the big special party. There’s gonna be drinking and eating and fightin and fuckin.” Floyd is amazed at his social fortune and asks: “How many folks are going to be at this big shindig?”. The man answers: “Just you and me!”
