The brand of music that the Straight Up Sinners plays is more than a sound. It’s a feeling. Capturing a timeless era in music, when blues and gospel were combined and gave birth to the R&B and Soul classics that we have all come to know and love. By combining foot stomping rhythms of gospel and blues, mixed with stories about love, cheating hearts, and hard times, many back in the day referred to the sound as “sinner music”.
The result is an eclectic mix of top-shelf talents that blend smoothly when stirred and poured over a crowd that’s thirsty for a good time. As serious as the Straight Up Sinners are about making music, they are still having nothing but a good time. They are a family. Although they practice every tune until it is absolutely perfect, they are never opposed to ad-libbing on stage.
There is no doubt about it, Straight Up Sinners put on a great show. With a perfect blend of covers and original tunes, it’s got a little bit of everything. All of their influences pop out. Rock, Jazz, R&B, Funk. What do you call a band like that? Blues? R&B? Soul? Maybe. Straight Up Sinners music? Definitely!

Welcome to our circle of friends, How are things going with you? Hope you are enjoying your Summer. We are enjoying ours, this coming Monday we start another new Pony-Pal Summer Riding Camp. Sorry it's taken so long to write back, Christmas season with Fresno Unified can be quite hectic...
I just wanted to say how great it was that you guys came out to support our shows. You caught a few of the best and the support means a lot. Can't wait to catch your next gig, see you soon!
