Strand Girl is a local band from the South Bay. A collaboration by singer/songwriter Sonya Snyder and guitarist Nick Gustavson, Strand Girl is nearing completion of their first album.
Sonya is a classically trained musician who has performed for years with the South Bay Choral Masters. Born of a rich Samoan musical heritage, Sonya's haunting voice recalls her early years of singing gospel and island rhythms around the family campfire. Nick was a founding member of "The Dawgs" a loathed cover band in Orange County.
