Bio
.. ............ .. .. ........ Sheffield Scenester review; 9th of april 2010 @ The Grapes supporting The Hosts. .... Next band up was Strange And Partners, a band who I've never had the pleasure of before...and to say I was impressed...would be an understatement! They kicked off with 'I'm Walking My Line', a fascinating dancy tune which caught the crowd's attention straight away. Another favourite of mine was 'Magpies and Clowns', which had a wonderful melodic start to the track...it was also very learnable too- I was singing away within seconds!.. and I have to say... the lyrics on 'Beautiful Woman Beautiful Trouble' are magnificent too, the words seemed to compliment the mish-mash of musical styles which this song seemed to express within the few minutes it was played. The energy of the set continued right up to their last song 'Right End Wrong Hand', which showcased the diversity of talent vocalist Richy Westley has...because he swapped his guitar for a tambourine and the keyboard! This is one amazing band, who instantly grabs your fondness for music and turns it into undying love...quite honestly I could have listened to them all night. .... To whom it may concern,
We are pupils at Ecclesfield School, our names are Laura and Amy. In business studies we are currently doing a BIG challenge, its basically where we have to create our own business, and we get £25 to start it up, and then from there on we have to find ways of raising money, the money we raise goes to the Neurology Ward at Hallamshire Hospital, this hospital is quite special to us as my Dad is there and Amy also knew someone who was also on this ward. So far we have a good few ideas, but our main idea is a charity music event which we would love to do, but, we need music acts! We were wondering if in March next year you would be interested in coming to are event and performing & as it is a charity event, the price will have to be from free to very little. Please get back to us at littlegoesfar@gmail.com
Many thanks, Laura and Amy
