We use only the rarest reverbs and tremendous tremolos on earth to bring you
the finest surf rock music. We create unique guitar-based instrumentals reminiscent
of the early days of surf music. We hope you enjoy our music as much as we do
creating it.
We are more than just a band. We are a family of creative types having fun with
our music while attempting to put out a much-needed positive vibe. We combine
our multiple talents to get thru this thing called life and to bring you the
finest music, art, events and a whole lot more. All the people that are part
of this family on and off stage are the true members of Strange But Surf. Some
of them spontaneously join us on stage to fufill our vision of Strange But Surf
- and we could not do it without them. We also enjoy swapping instruments during
our sets so that each member can show his stuff!

TWANGSTOCK...
Once a year we host The East Coast Surf Festival called TWANGSTOCK.
The invitation only party features the East Coast's hotest Surf Bands and more. It is held at Rancho De Angelo, Our HQ, on Labor Day weekend.
This year was really special, thank you everyone!
We are Long Island's Premier Original Surf Rock & Roll band. More than just Surf, we combine Blues, Oldies, Rockabilly and more into our own genre of music, known as Strange But Surf. We were founded in 2003 on the boardwalk on Long Beach, during the weekly scooter ride, hosted by Marbles Mahoney's Scooter Club, The Hornets Long island Scooter Club. We were forged in the garage in Levittown and proven on stages all across the NYC/Long Island area. Long Island has a huge Blues scene and SBS knows the Blues inside and out. We live them, everyday. We also draw upon our Punk and Rock & Roll expeirences to create a unique sound what has been described as "The Rolling Stones Of Surf". More than just a surf band we play many different styles and instruments to bring a diverse collection of music to any occasion.

Strange But Surf HQ... We are headquartered at Rancho De Angelo, our "Fortress Of Solitude" in historic Levittown on sunny Long Island. There we tender the finest Surf Rock & Roll of our own known as Strange But Surf. Long Island is the home of a thriving Surfing scene. You can often find us riding a wave on the South Shore, if not on stage. Jones Beach Gilgo Beach, Ditch Plains, Overlook Beach, Nickerson Beach are the spots we Safari to. From Coney Island to Montauk Point the surfing goes on off the white sandy beaches of Long Island's South Shore. This provides the perfect inspiration for the creation of original music with that unique surf sound commonly heard on the west coast of the USA. It is also the site of our annual Surf Music Fesival, TWANGSTOCK!
