I was born on November 27th, 1985 in Santa Rosa, CA. I have Lhasa Apso named Katie Kamala, I will put pics of her online soon!, I also love my VW Vanagon named Roy! I am a artist at heart with many passions in becoming a Marine Biologist, Historian, and a very successful Music Career, but I also want to find someone who will be my better half, someday! For the mean time, I will be working on my transfer units from College of the Redwoods for my double major being: Marine Biology (BS) and History (BA) and a minor in Music Business, eventually this will transfer to Humboldt State. I will try to use as much help on Financial Aid, and Student Loans to pay for my education. While I am in College again, I will form a new progressive rock band, while continueing my craftsmenship as a professional guitarist. Also I will be recording a new album Peter Saig-Nharm (Drummer and Producer of Strange Groove), Eventually, by the age of 25 or 26, around three years from now, Peter and I will fully form STRANGE GROOVE again, but right now its not just a project. Both members are doing their own things right now, with the attention to reform in the future.
I began my interest in guitar playing after my interest in painting and drafting "dulled" down, that was around 10 years old, I got my first guitar at age 7, but it took a tragic death at the age of 13 in order for myself to began really feeling the pain of losing something and releasing that expression artistically, took lessons from the beganning and still to this day. I consider myself very blunt, but practical and non-biased, I can take the heat but I also deliver a curve ball. I like to be the "Dark Horse" of the band, someone who doesn't have to always speak on behalf of the band. (hint: Ritchie Blackmore, is my guitar hero!) I have began plans on a three album concept, a Collaboration album called AURORAS and a double album called: WALLACE CHRONICLES. Progressive Rock is my favorite form of music to play in a Rock oriented band, because it has many dynamics in a well accepted form of music, I have took Flamenco lessons from (Steve Phillips) from ages: 13 till 18, Before that I took "Church" oriented lessons with Paul Krone, and once I left to go off to college in Chico, CA, my lessons continued with guitar master and local "legend" Jim Williford, along with the formation of my first progressive rock band STRANGE GROOVE (2005-2009) with members: Peter Saig-Nharm (Drums, Music Producer) and Brad Nalbone (Bass), Dustin ended the band in early 2009, "For the time being" the band had long breaks in between but I have talked to Peter about various opportunities down the road for a reformation. However, Both him and I have agreed going on our seperate ways for now. Living in Santa Rosa I began to meet more local musicians to get a good feel, thats why I would like to give thanks to my new music inspirations: Lee from Aftertayste, and Dave Carlson, Manager of Music Biz.
