Seattle based Strange Jerome combines the right amount of grit & edge with dynamic harmonies and gripping melodies. A clever roots rock band that mixes alternative country, shadowy folk and blues influences creating a timely blend that has been described as Lucinda Williams and the Cowboy Junkies meets the Pretenders.
“Comparable to Neko Case and Boyfriends in style but as rough and ready as Lucinda Williams.”
- The Weekly Volcano, Tacoma, WA
“Strange Jerome belong to the best of the Americana roots music.”
- Rootsville.be
"The first CD of 'Strange Jerome appeared in 2006 under the title "Vicious Tattoo" and consisted of a beautiful collection of songs in different styles. The new album "Guns - Ammo - Jewelry - Coins" is a perfect continuation of that album with pure Americana-songs steeped in country and rock. This quartet from Seattle is an example of the recent craze of Americana bands that American city has delivered...by contributing this excellent album, 'Strange Jerome' deserves close monitoring.” - Rootstime.be

This month we mostly have Catie Curtis (with a Richard Thompson cover), Lindsay Fuller and The Cheap Dates (and who amongst us isn't?), Josh Fix with a track from the well-titled album This Town Is Starting To Make Me Angry and the rather lovely Red Rooster.
Four more little sonic gems for your August pleasure are now available on the site. Blitzen Trapper, Boulder Acoustic Society, Jay Brannan and The Wiyos. Yet another fine quartet even though we say so ourselves as picked them out.
Hello, after an unfortunate hiatus, the reasons for which are probably best not gone into here, we finally have some new music on the AUK MySpace site. For your listening pleasure this month we offer Nathan Oliver, Conrad Ford, the irrepressible Todd Snider and the delightful Beccy Owen. Don't forget too, for those of you within striking distance of Leicester, Electric Dustbowl 2 on 19 September.
Hey, hope you're doing well! Come say hi at the 'Laughing Ladies' if you're free tonight! I'm playing a wee set @ 8:30 followed by Nancy Dillon. Best, Eva
It's been over a decade since Kim Lenz graced our fair city. Come out to Motor to help celebrate her return. If you missed her at Viva Las Vegas, make sure you don't miss her now. You may just have to wait another decade! Click Here To View Event
Hello, it's that time of the month again when we add more lovely music to our site. This month's happy foursome are The Barker Band in wistful mode, the summer of love-ish Old Californio, the anything but summer love-ish Christopher Rees and, wait for it..."Travelling Salesman's Young Wife Home Alone On Christmas In Montpelier, VT" from Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, which evenr if it was rubbish (and it's not) just had to be included for the names alone.
Itâs that time of the month and our site has four new tracks up for your listening enjoyment.
This monthâs box of delights include the swaggering groove of Blackie & The Rodeo Kings, the insanely catchy folk-pop of Antje Duvekot, the languid Great Lake Swimmers and, a little belatedly but better late than never, The Young Republic.
A particularly strong month, even if we do say so ourselves. Check them out, you won't regret it.
I hope that all is well with you! I wanted to stop by and let you know about a few new things at Ourstage. We have just introduced a new French channel! It is for songs performed in French! Also, we are now accepting entries for performance in the One Planet Music Festival as well as the John Lennon Song Contest. For more information, go here: www. ourstage. com/go/tim
Loved your show at the Shanty. Nice touch with the blues harp! And Michael switching guitars was super-cool too. Can't wait to hear the new album with the great title.
