This four-piece group based out of Lawrence Kansas is the culmination of inspirations and genres. The groups acoustic sound honors the roots of their music which includes folk to Gypsy, swing, and jazz all fused together with a bluegrass attitude. Comprised of Doug Doering on electric and stand-up acoustic Bass, Paul Wilburn on Violin and Viola (and recent proud owner of a healthy bouncing 13-pound banjo), Doug Rippee on Mandolin, Guitar and Vocals, and Barry Brown on Guitar, Mandolin and Vocals this band is "a newly grown limb from that same ole tree."
