Strange Rebel Frequency is an independent Los Angeles based band that plays stripped down, heartfelt, acoustic-based alternative rock music. They have been compared to artists such as Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Johnny Cash, and even Bruce Springsteen, as well as contemporary Americana/indie artists like Wilco, Iron & Wine, Angels of Light, Mike Ness and Low. They have very strong songs, a unique identity and vision, and are a powerful and emotive live experience. LA area gigs occurred quite frequently in 2007 and 2008! In the summer of 2008, the band had the honor of opening for Alt Rock legend Peter Murphy. A new album will be released sometime in 2009.
