Stranger Elevator is a solo music project of Lucas Hilbert. These songs are rough mixes from home recordings and have not been fully mastered yet, however they are close to completion as instrument-only tracks. Lucas has been creating home recordings in his spare time for several years. He has played guitar for over a decade and also utilizes keyboard, synth, and drum machine/loops to round out each song.
As a long-time music geek, Lucas has been involved in both solo and shared musical endeavors as a musician, but through his current profession as the Managing Editor of Music at Amazon.com he finds himself listening to music more often than playing it these days. When he does lay down tracks, Lucas draws inspiration and influence from the multitude of CDs and MP3s that cross his path. And with the volume of talent out there making music today, he's mostly interested in highlighting new and notable artists to others.
Lucas is as interested in the music community at large as he is with his own amateur musings, so he welcomes any new musical recommendations and connections.
