We have taken the music we love across multiple genres and created a hard, heavy, in-your-face rock sound with rowdy guitars, thumpin' bass, and slammin' drums that will definitely get your blood movin'. If not...check your pulse LOL
We all live by faith, not always by what is seen. At times we experience tragedy. Other times, we experience moments of immense joy. There are times in our lives when things do not work out according to our plans, and there are other times when everything comes together perfectly. Life can be both fair and cruel. Sometimes we are well prepared, while other times we are caught off guard. Life is full of the unexpected; however life is not just a random series of events placed in the hands of fate to determine our outcome. Life is what you make of it. We reap what we sow…now…and when we are gone. The events of our lives are truly stranger than fate.
Like a phoenix emerging from the collective ashes of prior musical creations, Stranger than Fate was born. Drawing from their deep and varied past, singer/guitarist Kristopher Mays, drummer Jim Morris and bassist Tim Harriman have succeeded in blending elements of faith in God and their passion for rock music. This seemingly unlikely pairing has birthed music that is both familiar in sound and different in technique and style. Following in the footsteps of bands like Kutless, Red, and Haste the Day, these three guys from central New York have done the unthinkable, combining the underground with the mainstream. When you see these guys play, be prepared for some screaming guitars, drop dead breakdowns, and passionate, insightful lyrics all in the same show.
