Strangeways Recording is a 1500 sq/ft recording studio located in the heart of Providence, RI. Owner and head Producer/Engineer Mike Poorman opened Strangeways in 2005 along with Daryl Rabidoux (ex-The Cancer Conspiracy, Big Wheel Recreation).
After touring the U.S. and Europe extensively in bands such as Hot Rod Circuit (Vagrant Records), Reach the Sky (Victory Records) and Boston indie rockers, The Shyness Clinic (Insound) Poorman relocated to Providence to concentrate 100% of his time on recording.
With credits such as Paulson, Piebald, Tsunami Bomb, Orange Island, and
Hot Rod Circuit, Poorman has been making a name for himself as an up and
coming producer. His enthusiasm for working with talented unsigned
artists has led him to work with Therefore I Am, Zac Clark, The Eclectic
Collective, and The Sketches. Today, he continues to record and develop
unsigned bands as well as more established artists.
