Jean-Claude EGLIN (trombone ténor) Titulaire du diplôme d’Etat de professeur de trombone.
Premier trombone, de 1988 à 2000 à l’orchestre de jazz “ORJA”,
Strasbourg, dir B. Struber - concerts avec Willem Breuker, Ray Anderson, Archie Shep, Bireli Lagrène - enregistrement du CD “Le Phare” avec Louis Sclavis. Chef d’orchestre à vent.--------------------
David GROSJEAN (cor) Titulaire du diplôme d’Etat de professeur de cor. Enseigne au Conservatoire Régional du Grand Nancy. Est régulièrement sollicité pour des remplacements aux orchestres symphoniques de Metz et Nancy.---------------
Francis BAUR (trombone basse) Trombone basse à l’Orchestre Symphonique de la Radio Frankfort. Titulaire du diplôme d’Etat et du Certificat d’Aptitude de professeur de trombone.

Pierre WENISCH (trumpet) plays the first solo trumpet at the National Orchestra of Lorraine (France).-----------------
Marc HEGENHAUSER (trumpet) is a qualified state teacher of trumpet and a qualified state conductor of windband. He also won the international competition of composition of the “Confédération Musicale de France” with a piece for windband. He is the arranger of Strasbourg Brass Quintet.---------------
Jean-Claude EGLIN (tenor trombone) is a qualified state teacher of trombone. He played the solo trombone in the Regional Jazz Orchestra of Strasbourg (France) from 1988 to 2000, played with Ray Anderson , Archie Shep, La Velle , Steve Potts ,Willem Breuker, Bireli Lagrene… recorded with Louis Sclavis the CD "Le Phare ".He is also windband conductor.--------------
David GROSJEAN (frenchhorn) is a qualified state teacher of horn and teaches the horn at the Conservatoire National de Musique de Nancy. (France).He is guest of the symphonic orchestras ( Strasbourg , Metz, Nancy) -----------------
Francis BAUR (bass trombone) plays the bass trombone at the Symphonic Orchestra of the Radio of Frankfort (Germany). He’s also a qualified state teacher of trombone.

STRASBOURG BRASS QUINTET est un ensemble de musique de chambre réunissant cinq musiciens professionnels. Une amitié de longue date et une esthétique musicale commune lient ces cinq artistes qui ont effectué ensemble leurs études musicales supérieures et obtenu leurs prix au Conservatoire National Régional de Strasbourg (exception faite du jeune corniste qui a étudié et a été primé au CNR de Nancy).
L'ensemble se produit en France mais également à l'étranger, en Allemagne particulièrement, où il est régulièrement invité
L'originalité de Strasbourg Brass Quintet réside dans l'utilisation du trombone basse comme instrument grave. Ce choix permet un équilibre sonore naturel et une grande transparence de la polyphonie au sein du quintette de cuivres.
STRASBOURG BRASS QUINTET aborde les grandes pièces maîtresses du répertoire et s’exprime aussi dans ses propres arrangements à travers des titres comme LIBERTANGO ou I AM GETTING SENTIMENTAL OVER YOU (titre qui est devenu le nom de leur tout récent

STRASBOURG BRASS QUINTET ist ein französisches Kammermusik Ensemble und besteht aus fünf Berufsmusiker.
Eine fortdauernde Freundschaft und eine gemeinsame Musikästhetik verbindet diese fünf Solisten die zusammen an dem Strasburger Konservatorium studiert und erfolreich ageschlossen haben.
Die Originalität dieses Ensembles liegt an der Wahl von der Bassposaune als tiefes Instrument des Ensemble (meistens wird die tiefe Lage von einer Tuba übernommen).
Diese ästhetische Wahl bringt dem musikalischen Ausdruck Feinheit und Durchsichtigkeit. STRASBOURG BRASS QUINTET legt Wert darauf die Meisterwerke des Blechbläserquintetrepertoires zu spielen. Und wenn STRASBOURG BRASS QUINTET Titel spielt wie « Libertango » oder « I am getting sentimental over you » sind es dann eigenen Arrangements die den Charakter und den uhrsprünglischen Styl respektieren.
